UPDATED AUDITION FORMAT EXPECTATIONS

AUDITION LOGISTICS: 

  • Date: 

  • Time: Register for your preferred time; available first come first serve

  • Day of Audition:

    • Secure a quiet and uninterrupted space for your Zoom audition.

    • Set up your environment and technology in advance.

    • Sign into your Zoom a few minutes before your assigned time.


AUDITION SPECIFICS:

(PLEASE NOTE THIS MAJOR REQUIRES PREPARATION OF MATERIALS TO BRING TO AUDITION.)


Audition parts:

  1. Interview via live zoom

  2. Share a pdf of your script and share the link to your film - prepare materials in advance

  3. Discussion about film and script via live zoom


Interview: Your adjudicators, Mr. Rogers and Mr. Carol will introduce themselves and get to know you at the start of the audition. They will ask you questions about your goals, how you view your part in the program, and what your future aspirations are. 


Share materials and watch film: They will then ask you to post the PDF of your script and the link to your film through the zoom chat (see requirements below).


Discussion: After watching the film, you will talk about it.  You may be asked about your concept, how you developed your ideas, what equipment you used, etc.  After a quick read of your script, you may discuss the format, and tools you may have used in writing and developing your film. They may have questions about what it tells us about you. 


Audition requirements: 

  • Original digital film 2-5 minutes in length AND an accompanying script of the film. 

  • In the film tell us about yourself without appearing in the film or narrating it. 

  • You must shoot and edit the film yourself. 

  • Be creative.  Think outside the box. 

  • Digital film must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo  

  • Script must be typed in proper screenplay format.  Screenplay format resource (enter email on homepage): celtx.com
