TIMELINE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Wednesday, October 14th
AISD INTENT TO APPLY OPENS
Required for Application. This tool indicates for the district what programs you are intending to apply. In addition, MAC FAA accesses your teacher recommendations as well as AISD student grade reports through this system. Once you know which teachers will be completing recommendations for you, please complete this online form asap.
Go to Parent Cloud (my.austinisd.org) - new parents to AISD will go through a registration process to set up the account. Search for the "Online Registration" tile and complete for your student. All parents will then search for the "AISD Intent to Apply" to complete the form.
Once complete, you will be able to return at any time to the tool to monitor the progress of teacher recommendation submissions.
These zoom events are arranged with staff at specific schools. If you do not see your school listed, please ask your counselor to contact our office. If you do see your school and would like to attend, please email email@example.com and/or contact your counselor.

APPLICATION PACKAGE DUE DATE
You must have completed and submitted the following components by this date in order to be considered for admission next fall: 1)AISD Intent to Apply, 2)MAC FAA Application, 3)Short Answers, 4)Grade Reports (non-AISD students only).
Friday, January 22nd
TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS DUE DATE
You can monitor whether the teachers have completed your recommendations via the AISD Intent to Apply system. Please work with them well in-advance to ensure completion by this deadline.
Friday, January 29th - Wednesday, February 10th
AUDITION REGISTRATION WINDOW
After screening complete Application Packages with Teacher Recommendations, the Academy Office will send an email invitation to register for an Audition time slot. First come first served.
Saturday, February 6th, Saturday, February 13th and Monday, February 15th
The majority of auditions will take place on 2/15/21, with the use of 2/6/21 & 2/13/21 for needed overflow audition slots for some majors. However, due to the current climate and unknowns, these dates and how many days of auditions there are this season is subject to change to meet the safety of all involved.
Friday, February 26th
ACCEPTANCE AND DENIAL LETTERS MAILED
All letters are hand-delivered to the Post Office on this date. The Academy Office will not provide the results of admission prior to this date nor via phone or email prior to Friday, February 26th. It will be necessary to be patient for your postal mail to arrive - even if friends/neighbors have already received theirs. You may contact the Academy Office on 3/5/21 if you have not received a letter by that time.
Friday, March 12th
To provide official notification that you intend to accept your offer of acceptance to the McCallum Fine Arts Academy, at any time between 2/20/21 and 3/5/21, you will be asked to return the signed hard copy of both contracts that are included in your Acceptance Letter.
